This function will make buying and selling services easier for you and your Requesters.

Closing a sale can be a rollercoaster. One minute your customer expresses interest to engage you. The next, you’re losing the customer because they’re confused about your pricing.

Take for example: you do house moving and offers a range of services including room moving and house moving. You list the service at $100. A customer who sees that you offer house moving is interested to hire your service but after learning that it costs $400 which is a far cry from the listed price, they leave you on read.

iTask aims to make things easier for you and your Requesters by changing the way you list your pricing. Introducing Packages, the new pricing structure for selling services. Packages make it easier for your Requesters to see all the information they need when dealing with you.

Having packages provides clarity so Requesters can see all the information they need.

Seamless app experience

At iTask, we’re all about making your app experience as seamless as possible. Updating your listing and adding packages takes a few minutes. By offering different packages based on the services you offer, it provides clarity and reduces back and forth communication about the pricing.

A clear pricing structure would also get you genuine customer requests as they get to engage their desired service in one click.

How to add packages on your listing :

  1. Go to your profile and tap on ‘Update Listing.’
  2. Click on ‘Add Package’ and add a title with a short description
  3. Add the price and its unit for the respective package
    • You can set a minimum unit if there is one.
  4. Tap to add price variations (if it applies to your service)
  5. Save and you’re done.

Optional: Switch on ‘Customised pricing’ if you’d like to have the option of having Requesters offer their own price.

Tip: Follow our top 3 tips below to be a better freelancer by using packages.

A good fit for all kind of services

Some of you may have five packages and some of you may only have two to three. It doesn’t matter. A parcel delivery man can have five packages based on the location or weight of the parcel. Whereas a graphic designer can have two packages based on their skills that can be logo and poster design.

No matter what your service may be, our pricing structure is designed to be a good fit for all services.

Here are our top 3 tips to be a better freelancer by using packages:

Clear and succinct

Keep your package title clear and succinct. The title will be the first thing Requesters see when they request for your service. Consider what would catch a Requester’s eye and name it as such.

Offer the most-popular services

Not exactly sure what to put? Go for your most-popular or most-requested services and create the package that best meets your Requesters’ needs. If you’re just starting out, research what services are in demand right now and set your description and pricing accordingly.

Don’t provide too many packages of different services

When you’ve just started, don’t be overambitious and provide several packages of different services. If you were to include packages of services that are vastly different from the other, it may overwhelm your Requesters which may keep them from hiring your service.  For eg: A graphic designer should only provide packages related to design. If they start to offer video editing in their package, it is not relevant to design and would be overlooked.

Therefore, it is recommended to include only services which highlight your skills in the package.
