You can hire Taskers to do Ramadan shopping or do delivery for you.

The month-long Ramadan has kicked off and Muslims are celebrating the occasion in their homes amid pandemic.

To curb the spread of Covid-19, the annual Ramadan Bazaar event in Singapore and Malaysia have been called off.

While there are online platforms created to bring the bazaars online, Singapore’s home-based businesses have to cease their activities under the new tightened Circuit Breaker measure.

In Malaysia, e-bazaars are allowed to operate. The concept would mean Ramadan orders will be made online and deliveries done through e-hailing services. Because of this, they may need help with delivering their food.

To help with this, they can look to iTask, the online freelance service marketplace application which connects skilled freelancers (Taskers) with clients (Requesters) who need help with their tasks.

On the app, you can find Taskers dedicated to doing delivery services which you can hire. By enlisting their help, they can deliver the food efficiently before the breaking of fast at dusk.

If the locations are not accessible, you can also request for delivery Taskers who cover a bigger area. By doing so, you are able to fulfil more orders.

To start, you can opt for two options – putting in a request as a Requester or hiring a Tasker on the app.

If you want to request for a Tasker, simply pick the delivery category and describe the task you need help with as clear as you can. After which, you have to fill in other relevant information, set a clear price, post and wait for offers.

To hire a Tasker, click services on the app and filter it by delivery service category. From there, you can look through and decide which one of them best suits your task.

Once you’ve found a Tasker, you can communicate with them via iTask private messaging platform. After the delivery is completed by the Tasker, confirm that the service is completed through the app and leave a review.

Hire Taskers to do Ramadan shopping

Although Singaporeans cannot get their usual delicacies from the bazaar, there are still local markets where they can shop from. These include: the Tekka Market in Little India and Geylang Serai market.

Singaporeans who need help with Ramadan shopping can find Taskers for it. Send the list of market items you need and the Tasker can buy and deliver them to your doorsteps.

To minimise coronavirus risk, you can request for contactless delivery and have the items placed outside your doorstep via iTask messaging platform. The same goes for Malaysians who still need to do Ramadan shopping.

Earn income during Ramadan

With increasing demand for food due to Ramadan, it would also mean more need for delivery services. If you are looking to reel in income and have a mode of transportation suitable for delivery, you can become a Tasker and post your delivery service on the app.

By consistently providing good service, you will be able to build your portfolio and get more Requesters. Thereby, earning income to support yourself in these trying times.
